Aerobic Composting

time2012/10/24

Aerobic composting refers to the process that aerobic microorganism decomposes and ferments the organic waste under aerobic conditions. The temperature of aerobic composting is very high (generally above 55 ℃), and it can last for 7-11 days. Sometimes the temperature can even reach a limit of 80 ℃, so it is also known as high-temperature composting.

Advantages: Short composting cycle, high innocuity, good sanitary conditions, and suitableness for mechanized operations.

Disadvantages: Aerobic composting requires the oxygen concentration to be maintained at a certain high level, so the operating cost is high.

Application: Sludge, municipal waste, animal manure and agricultural straw.
